Sunday saw the final day of competition at the Woodie’d DIY Juvenile Track
and Field championships. The warm sunny conditions certainly impacted on
the competition and there were several top class performances throughout
the day. Claire Fitzgerald of Tralee Harriers won 2 gold medals for her
Shot and Javelin and she will be competing in those events next weekend in
the UK for the Interschools championships in Bedford along with Mary
Moynihan who will be doing Javelin and Karen Flynn who will compete in the
Hammer, Claire is the girls team captain.
