The Jun, U23 and Sen Munster Championships were held on Mon 4th at Cork
CIT. Eilish Fitzpatricks, Gneeveguilla time of 11.89 was enough for her to
qualify for the European Juniors in Belgrade in the summer .  Daniel
Clifford of Farranfore/Maine Valley won the Jun Shot, Hammer and Discus,
whilst clubmate Katie O’Shea  won the U23 womens Shot and Hammer. The
O’Connor family (Tralee Harriers) had a great day of competition with Dad
Patsy taking the senior shot, Javelin, 58lbss w.f.d , 58lbs w.o.b and 2nd
in the discus, this was his 50th Munster senior title. Son Alan O’Connor
competed in the U23 age winning the Shot and Javelin and taking silver in
the Discus, 56lbs w.f.d and 56lbs w.o.b, whilst daughter Karen took bronze
in the U23 Discus.
