An omission from last weekends Scottish Juvenile results, Kayleigh Cronin
Of Spa Muckross won silver in the U13 Shot and Long Jump. Also results
from the Cross Country Masters that took place on Sunday 15th Feb Niamh
O’Sullivan of An Riocht, came in third place with a great time of 15.02
but won her V3 category. Patrick O’Shea of Iveragh came second in his V5
category.
At the Celtic Cup in Wales last weekend, Claire Fitzgerald took third
place in the U20 Shot, while Daniel Clifford of Farranfore Maine Valley
came in 6th place in the U20 Shot.
Alan O’Connor of Tralee Harriers competed at the Intervarsity’s Indoor
Championships where he came 2nd in the weight for distance and 3rd in the
shot.
U9-U13 Indoors were held in Nenagh over the weekend. St Brendans AC has a
fantastic 2 days competition with 24 medals in total. Jamie Green took
gold in the boys U19 multi events, Dylan Roche won the U18 triple jump,
and Dara Lowth won the U10 Long jump, also coming 3rd in the 60m and 300m.
Gneeveguilla also had some good medal winners, Eilish Fitzpatrick won the
u19 1st 60m and 200m and came 3rd in the 400m. Brian O Keeffe took gold in
the u10 60m,and the 300m and Shane McCauliffe won the U18 Shot
