At the Celtic Cup in Wales over the 21/22nd Feb Laura Crowe got a new
Personal indoor best time of 2.9.77 mins to come 2nd in the 800m. Daniel
Clifford of Farranfore/Maine Valley  also got a PB of 14.49m to come 3rd
in the shot.
Emma and Niall Prendiville of Farranfore/Maine Valley were competing on
the Isle of Man over the weekend both siblings are walk competitors. Emma
won her 5km race whilst brother Niall got a pb time in his 5km race.
Niamh O’Sullivan Of An Ríocht managed to hold off Pauline Curley at the
National Inter Club Senior Cross country over the weekend to take 4th
place.
At the Adare 10km road race over the weekend Cian Murphy of Iveragh won
with Donal O’Callaghan of An Ríocht coming in second place and Joe
O’Connor also of An Ríocht coming in 5th place. John Lennihan of Ríocht
was 1st in the O45 with Mike O’Shea (IV) coming second. Pat O’Shea (IV)
won the O55 catagory.
The Kerry Awards Night will take place on March 13 at the Brandon Hotel,
Tralee a reminder to all clubs to send in all the club award winners’
names, pictures and a few lines on each asap to Shane Delaney or the
programme designer. Also do the same for the main award winners that were
announced at the last meeting. The latest date for these is March 4th and
nothing will be accepted after this date. Tickets are available from
Helen/Martin Fitzgerald.
