The Woodie’s DIY/AAI Novice & Juvenile Uneven Ages Cross Country
Championships was held at the University of Ulster, Coleraine, Derry on
Sunday. In the U11 Boys Adam O’Donoghue of Ríocht was 2nd, Patrick Warren
of Gneeveguilla was 4th, Fiachra Clifford of Star of the Laune was 12th,
along with Eoin McElligott of St Brendans they made up the Munster team
that won gold so congratulations to them all. I don’t have any other
results but there were other Kerry athletes competing on the day.
The Duhallow Athletic club annual 5 mile road race will be held on Sunday
20th December in memory of Francis Higgins. The Race will start at 2pm
sharp outside Newmarket Co-op and the fun walk will start at 1.30pm from
the same place and entries will be taken at Hourigans Lounge. There are
prizes for all finishers with additional prizes for the top finishers in
all catagories. Club teams are 4 to score and teams can be up of male and

Also Farranfore-Maine Valley Athletic Club are holding the Fr. Dan Browne
Memorial Cup Annual Four Miles Road Race on Saturday December 26th 2009
starting at 12 Noon. Entry Fee: €15 Entries Accepted up to 11.30 A.M on
Race Day. Dressing and Prize Presentation at Sports Hall in Farranfore.
Prizes: First Six Senior Men First Six Senior Women First Two Junior
Men (Under 19) First Two Junior Women (Under 19) First Two Master Men:
Over: 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60 First Two Master Women: Over: 35, 40, 45 and
