The National Masters Cross Country and juvenile inter county relays were held in Boyle Co.Roscommon on Sunday last with Kerry teams taking two out of the four juvenile titles on offer.The boys u12 team romped to victory in the 4x500m with impressive runs from Patrick Warren,Dean Crowley both Gneeveguilla,Niall O Shea Iveragh and Adam O Donoghue An Riocht.The boys u14 were equally impressive in their display taking gold with ease with a team of Cillian O Donovan,Adam King,Jack Daly all Iveragh and Mitchell Holland Spa Fenit Barrow.For good measure the girls u12 team raced to a well deserved bronze medal with a team of Christine Cooper Spa Muckross,Katelyn McCarthy Spa Fenit,Beatrice Casey Gneeveguilla and Ellen Browne An Riocht.In the Masters section Niamh O Sullivan An Riocht finished 5th and won her category quiet easily.

A good turn out of 86 runners and walkers showed up on a cold but very sunny morning in Killarney on Saturday last for the third instalment of the Gneeveguilla 5km road seies in Killarney national park. The race itself took place on a very flat and fast course with little or no wind and conditions were ideal for some fast times.
   In form Ed Murphy of Gneeveguilla AC continued where he left off in last weeks race by securing top spot for the second week in a row with a impressive time of 15.54, knocking 19 seconds off from his winning time in last weeks race. Another man showing some great form at the moment is John Barrett of Gneeveguilla AC beating his previous times in this series of 17.00 and 16.37 mins to take second place today in a time of 16.36. Third man home was  Billy O'Brien of An Riocht AC with another fine performance running 17.21 to finish with 13 seconds to spare over Kenneth Barry (no club) in fourth spot.
  Anna Meria Costello also of Gneeveguilla AC was first lady home showing some good form in a time of 18.59 and for the second week running taking top spot in the senior female category. Mary O'Connor of An Riocht AC was second lady home with another solid performance in this series after competing in the previous two races.The 4th and final race in the series is next Saturday, the 27th of February at 11am in Killarney.

  Also on Sunday last the Kerry Coaches workshop event was held in An Riocht with great success with all coaches who attended enjoying the event and learning some valuable coaching knowledge.The second instalment will be held this Saturday with events such as sprints,steeplechase,race walk ,pole vault and relays with long jump to be confirmed.Please contact Shane Delaney if interested.
